Pinnacles Resort is the ultimate luxury self-contained accommodation situated in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands.

Pinnacles will simply indulge your senses from every view point, with 29 stylish tropical uniquely designed and tastefully decorated one, two and three bedroom self-contained apartments. Each two and three bedroom apartment has a Jacuzzi built into its large terrace, while the one bedroom apartment has inside spa tubs.

There is much on offer, including a luxurious 20 metre wet edge ozone pool and easy access to cosmopolitan Airlie Beach, easy access to a variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, also the whole Whitsunday's area on your doorstep for any number of activities including diving and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. Onsite facilities also include gym, sauna(both traditional and infrared), tour desk and guest lounge facility.

Airlie Beach Race Week, is renowned amongst sailors Australia wide as a vibrant, exciting, fun and well run event. It is now the largest keelboat regatta staged on Queensland's mainland coast, last year attracting an equal size fleet to the 2015 Sydney to Hobart (108 vessels). The event is focused on the relaxed atmosphere of the Whitsundays, mixing serious sailing with fun socialising. On-water the Regatta offers classes from IRC competitive racing through to cruising divisions attracting around 1800 competitors, officials and volunteers. The event is now entrenched in the overall Australian Sailing calendar. On-shore the Festival of Sailing, the Whitsunday Coasts' most significant public event, presents seven days and nights of high profile, social activities with attendances of over 5000 in 2015. In 2016 the On-shore Social Program has been expanded to include eight nights of free live entertainers, wine tastings, a long late lunch on the lawn, an outrigger challenge and a festival fun run. Whitsunday Sailing Club is the proud host of this great event.

Run The Great Whitsunday Trail

The tenth anniversary of Run The Great Whitsunday Trail takes you on a 28.7 kilometre adventure through the beautiful rainforest of the Conway National Park, starting at Brandy Creek and finishing at the Airlie Beach Lagoon. It is a demanding course with many steep uphill sections and uneven ground. The cut off time for this event is five hours and 30 minutes. Also included in 2016 the inaugural Ultra distance of 57.4 kilometres will be a test for the fittest trail runners, with a cut off time of eight hours and 30 minutes. Limited numbers for both events and it will fill fast!

The vibrant town of Airlie Beach will light up in August for the 16th annual Reef Festival as it celebrates what it means to live in the Whitsundays, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region's favourite festival is a delicious combination of family fun, all-night celebrations, local food and fashion and some of the biggest street parties in the north. The spectacular Fireworks on the Foreshore kick off the festival complete with carnival rides, food stalls and night markets lining Airlie's beautiful foreshore. Airlie's Main Street is closed to traffic for the weekend to host two massive street parties featuring live entertainment, a vintage car show and reef themed parade. Other events include reef art installations, Comedy Gala, Frocktails fashion show, family fun day, beach races, helicopter joy rides and cocktails at the "Pop-up" Beach Bar making Reef Festival a perfect time to enjoy the gorgeous Whitsunday winter.
