Our Rooms

Rainforest Cottage

Each cottage has a separate bedroom with en suite, a queen size bed, an open plan lounge, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Double spas with carved Red Cedar steps and Marble surrounds add to the luxury feel of the air-conditioned cottages and log fires exude cosy warmth for those winter months in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

On spacious decks which have creek and forest views, there is a hammock and gas barbecue as well as outside furniture for those leisurely breakfasts and lunches. Little extras such as bathrobes, chocolates, aromatherapy skin products and organic natural shampoos/conditioners and shower gel. Freshly baked croissants are delivered each morning, with gourmet plunger coffee, fine loose tea and a selection of normal and herbal tea bags provided.

Pavilion

Relax and reconnect in beautiful Montville. Accommodation specially designed for couples, everything is prepared for you for the perfect romantic getaway. Six delightfully crafted pavilions, secluded in the pristine rainforest of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Pavilions all feature deep double spa baths, log fire, luxurious furnishings and beautiful rainforest views, well as all conveniences such as free high speed wi-fi, flat screen television and Nespresso coffee machines.

Soft, warm bathrobes and slippers are provided for your comfort as well divine bath products, chocolates and fresh flowers.

A welcome platter is placed in the fridge for your arrival if you stay with them for two days or more, and a myriad of little surprises will make your stay a memorable one.

A gourmet breakfast hamper is supplied on arrival, with freshly baked croissants delivered each morning. Delicious home cooked meals or barbecue hampers can be delivered to your pavilion so you never need to leave your private rainforest haven.

Retro Rocks Nambour is an annual fun, free event in and around the streets of Nambour incorporating custom culture, fifties nostalgia and rockabilly. Firstly there is the cars. Start with the Twilight Cruise to the coast and back on the Friday night, then check out the fabulous vintage cars, bikes and caravans Show and Shine 9am to 3pm Saturday. Then there's the fashion: parades, competitions, stalls and more. Frock up and rock up! Enjoy a full day's entertainment with dance performances, hula-hooping and more - and, most importantly, high-energy live rockabilly music, finishing with the Rockabilly Ball Saturday night. Celebrate 20 years of the iconic Maleny Wood Expo with three days of clean country family fun in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Telling the whole timber story and designed to promote sustainable use of native timbers through the work of regional wood artisans, the Expo is now recognized as one of the best wood shows in Australia. All wood exhibitors are required to use sustainably harvested native timbers, weed or recycled timbers. Wander at leisure through lovingly crafted timber products, talk to the craftsmen and women who’ve created them, and visit the "Against the Grain" Wootha Prize exhibition. Glimpse the skills of the early timber-cutters, see the best in both hand-crafted traditional and high tech tools and smell the spicy aroma of newly milled timber. With live demonstrations of mobile milling, chainsaw carving, woodworking, trade tools and more, it really is “from chainsaw to fine furniture”. The whole family can get hands-on with WoodShed Workshops and even kids can join in at the Cool Stool School and take home their own masterpiece. They will have a feature wall of local scenes and people, and pet portraits. All artworks will be for sale and all commissions go towards the upkeep of St Mary's Hall.

Mental Heath Awareness and Stress Management with Bryan Peck (Supporting Queensland Mental Health Week) This is a full day facilitator-led course focusing on the communication and influencing skills required to help people through overwhelming issues. It is designed to help recognise when friends and family members may be struggling with their mental health, and gives you the tools and confidence to help. This course will help you communicate with people who are suffering so that they don’t feel isolated and alone. Accommodation and meals available separately. Bryan Peck works as an instructor and consultant to organisations on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. He has been working in the field of mental health training for over 3 years, and has studied in Psychology for over 5 years. Bryan has conducted Mental Health First Aid training to over 800 participants. Bryan conducts training in diverse areas, with diverse participants, with an emphasis on sharing skills to improve Stress Management and Mindfulness and enhance daily well-being. Bryan’s passions focus on improving our responses to mental health, and reducing the effects of shame on mental health.

Now in its sixth year, nationally recognised Sculpture on the Edge is a contemporary three-dimensional (3D) exhibition presented by Arts Connect Inc in the Sunshine Coast’s Hinterland over 16 days. The exhibition has been presented at Spicers Tamarind Retreat since 2012. This year they are proud to have the continued support of Spicers Tamarind Retreat as Event Sponsor. There are a number of awards; Major prize AUD5,000 cash prize and Second Prize. There are also two other non acquisitive awards; Highly Commended Judges Award and People’s Choice both selected by the Judges Panel. The Exhibition is open to local, national and international Artists.

This weekend workshop is designed to introduce Buddhist meditation techniques for complete beginners. You do not need any knowledge of Buddhism, and likewise you also do not need to have an interest in becoming a Buddhist. Instead you need only an inclination to learn something about meditation and recognise that the Buddhist approach may be of benefit to you.
