Kipara Tropical Rainforest Retreat is located on an immense property and surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. They offer a wide range of facilities that caters superbly to both the overnight traveller and the short term resident.

Kipara is two kilometres away from Airlie Beach, conveniently located less than one kilometre from the Whitsunday PCYC and Sports Park, 500 metres from the local bowls club, 300 metres from grocery and liquor stores and only steps away from public transport.

The park comprises more than 75 private rooms, dispersed in separate accommodation buildings. They also have 13 Self Contained Cabins/Villas, some with private verandas, located close to the pool and barbecue areas.

Located on site for guests convenience are three fully equipped camp kitchens, a cosy pool and sundeck, a large function room that groups of all numbers can utilise, guest laundry facilities, internet cafe, wireless internet access and free Tour Bookings available to plan and organise any and all excursions to the magnificent Whitsunday Islands!

Whitsunday Reef Festival

The vibrant town of Airlie Beach will light up in August for the sixteenth annual Reef Festival as it celebrates what it means to live in the Whitsundays, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region's favourite festival is a delicious combination of family fun, all-night celebrations, local food and fashion and some of the biggest street parties in the north. The spectacular Fireworks on the Foreshore kick off the festival complete with carnival rides, food stalls and night markets lining Airlie's beautiful foreshore. Airlie's Main Street is closed for the weekend to host two massive street parties featuring live entertainment, a vintage car show and reef themed parade. Other events include reef art installations, Comedy Gala, Frocktails fashion show, family fun day, beach races, helicopter joy rides and cocktails at the "Pop-up" Beach Bar making Reef Festival a perfect time to enjoy the gorgeous Whitsunday winter.

Airlie Beach is known as one of the World's premier sailing destinations and home to one of the largest yacht racing regattas staged off the Australian Coast - Airlie Beach Race Week and its onshore Festival of Sailing. Now in it's 27th year, Airlie Beach Race Week is a seven day event that attracts entrants from all over Australia and overseas. Offshore the Regatta offers classes from IRC competitive racing through to cruising divisions attracting around 1,800 competitors, officials and volunteers. Onshore the Festival of Sailing, the Whitsunday Coasts' most significant public event, presents seven days and nights of high profile, social activities with attendances of over 5,000 in 2015. In 2016 the onshore Social Program will be expanded to include three nights of big-name-act entertainers, wine tastings, a long late lunch on the lawn, a trailer sailer boat show, a dragon boat regatta and a festival fun run.
