Sunshine Coast MS Swimathon

The Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre on the Sunshine Coast will host the MS Swimathon event again this year to raise vital funds to help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). It doesn't matter if you can do 100 fast laps or doggy paddle one, everyone can join in, have fun and support people living with MS - an incurable disease which affects a person's central nervous system. Designed as a relay event, teams must have one swimmer in the water at all times throughout the entire 12 hour event period. Participants can raise donations by asking for a one off donation from friends and family or being sponsored based on the number of laps they can do.

The GIANT Sunshine Coast CycleFest brings elite and amateur riders together for an action packed weekend of two wheeled fun. The 2016 event will be held September 24 and 25 on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast. With several events planned and a waterfront CycleVillage in Cotton Tree Park, this event is a must do for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The weekend includes a range of events, including a timed King and Queen of the Mountain Challenge up Montville, Gran and Piccolo Fondo's, Street Crit plus Open Road Races. Entries are now open. The Mooloolaba Mile is a feature on Queensland’s ocean swimming calendar and continues to attract swimmers from all over Australia. The main event, a one mile (1.6 kilometre) course is well within reach for beginners and novice ocean swimmers an ideal step up from traditional short course events. The three kilometre Marathon distance is a great new option for seasoned swimmers and aspiring triathletes looking to push their limits.

Buderim Garden Festival
