Bunyip Springs Farmstay provides visitors with genuine farm experiences and the unique attractions nearby make Bunyip Springs the perfect place to holiday. The 251 hectare farm is a grazing property and paddocks near to the accommodation facilities are home to the quiet farm animals. These animals allow children to enjoy hands-on activities such as feeding, milking, egg collecting and a lead horse ride. Alpacas are led during activities. The property's rural setting includes natural bushland, spring fed creeks and granite boulder formations. These features provide wonderful bushwalking, wildlife and bird watching opportunities.

Nearby attractions include the astronomical observatory, country hotel for good hearty meals and Coomba Waterhole in and around Maidenwell, five kilometres from the Farmstay. The beautiful Bunya Mountains National Park is a natural wonderland just 23 kilometres away from the farm's location in
the foothills.

Owner Kathy enjoys sharing the attractions of Bunyip Springs and is only too happy to guide visitors and familiarise them with the property.

Accommodation premises include the three bedroom Cottage (sleeps six) and the three bedroom Lodge (sleeps eight). Both are self-contained with linen provided. Wood heaters make for cosy winter nights and verandas are popular to relax on in the summer months.

The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival is a great fun-filled family day out. Head out to Goomeri on the last Sunday in May and join in the fun. Entry to the festival is free. Join the thousands of people who come along to enjoy the entertainment, on the main-stage or roving in the streets. Win yourself great prizes by entering into the many pumpkin competitions on the day. Become a pumpkin roller and have a go at the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll™. Send your pumpkin hurtling down Policeman's Hill to see how far it can go. Wander the streets and look at the many street stalls at your leisure, sit down in the local cafes and hotel and enjoy a meal or relax in the park with your family and friends to enjoy a picnic style lunch. Heritage Nanango Country Muster

Nanango Show Society holds its Annual Country Muster featuring Traditional Australian Country Music on the second weekend in September. It's four days full of country music, poetry, gospel and all those things that make the Australian Bush Lifestyle great. The committee prides itself on the choice of artists as well as the variety from year to year. In the days leading up to the festival you are entertained by "Walk Up Artists" who are itching to showcase their talent. The festival was foundered in 2003 to provide an event that encourages tourists to stop and experience the warm country hospitality of Nanango and the South Burnett. So Bring your caravan, tent, ute, or whatever you have and settle in for the celebrations of this traditional style of music. Full camping facilities available from the Monday 1 September (bookings essential). Plenty of hot showers and toilets available. A real bush atmosphere.

Bunya Mountains Markets are a unique experience for all. Be thrilled by the spectacular array of homemade, local crafts and delicacies to taste and take home. Sample the local bunya nut meals and snacks such as bunya nut scones, carrot and bunya nut cake, beef and bunya nut pies or their famous Bunya burgers with, you guessed it,.home made beef and bunya nut patties. Bunya Mountains Markets are open 9am to 2pm on the last Sunday of each month. At 1100 metres above sea level, enjoy the markets and the cool green of the mountains. Explore the 40 kilometres of spectacular rainforest National Park walking tracks. Meet the local inhabitants - peacefully grazing wallabies and spectacular array of birdlife including bower birds, crimson rosellas, king parrots just to name a few. And if you can't leave, Bunya Mountains Accommodation Centre offers cosy chalets. Refuel your spirit. Stay the night!

The Bunya Mountains Community Markets are held on the last Sunday of every month from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Enjoy 30+ market stalls with locally grown produce, homemade products, art and craft. Located within the iconic Bunya Mountains National Park the markets make for a fantastic day out for the entire family. Some of the ‘must-tries’ include a variety of food made with the local Bunya nuts, such as the Bunya burgers, beef and Bunya pies, scones, carrot cake and the famous Bunya nut icecream. There is plenty of space to sit, relax and enjoy a picnic lunch. There is something magical about the Bunya Mountains that forces its visitors to relax; a unique combination of crisp clean mountain air, soaring pines and majestic scenery. Spend days doing as much or as little as you desire. Enjoy a short or long bushwalk, horse cart ride, or immerse yourself in this a bird watcher’s paradise.
