Westbrook Family Fun Day

Come and celebrate with their 4th biennial Family Fun Day in Westbrook, Queensland. The event draws local, and regional families, vendors and business to showcase products, businesses, and activities, while providing an affordable event for families. Numerous rides, interactive programs, interactive skate activities, musicians and performers will be involved. Food vendors, coffee stalls, local goods, and products will be available for sale. This is the 4th event in the Community and has shown growth and success with the development of interactive programs, local performers and supported by local industry.

Crows Nest Day is part of the Crows Nest Festival week of community activities. The program starts at 7am with a fun run, then all day entertainment, music, dance displays, children's activities and finally a rodeo. Food will be available. There will be a licensed bar, drinks, tea and coffee also available. You can enjoy many stalls selling handcrafts, gifts and more and there will be competitions including whip cracking, crow calling, hay stacking, tyre stacking, picnic races and a tug of war. Worm races for trained earthworms conclude with the world championship Grand Old Crow Cup.

The Festival is also home to the annual Hampton Art Exhibition featuring over 50 artists from the very creative local community. In addition, there will be an Artist In Residence program, art demonstrations and live art happenings throughout this site. Celebrity chefs will present lively cooking demonstrations in the covered marquee featuring key ingredients from local farms and producers. Farmers will be on hand to chat to the chefs and audience about their produce including growing methods, uses and nutritional values.

Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo Plus Australian Deer Association Queensland Hunting Expo The Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo is the regions largest event of it's kind. Over 130 local and regional companies will be involved, displaying thousands of products and services, including the very latest in Caravans, Camper Trailers, Motor Homes, Vehicles and 4WD's, 5th Wheelers, Camping Gear and Accessories. The 2016 Event will also feature the Australian Deer Association Queensland Hunting Expo. This event will showcase businesses providing products and services for hunting and the outdoors, including firearms and associated products, archery, clubs and groups, fishing and tackle, camping equipment, vehicle accessories, taxidermy, safaris, holidays, industry magazines, clothing and more. Visitors will be able to view and compare products from a wide range of leading companies all within the one location. This is a not-to-be-missed event.

This is an annual event which will be staged at the grounds of the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland at Glenvale on the western side of Toowoomba.

The Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears is an iconic three day event celebrating the sheep and wool industry of the Darling Downs. The festival is held on the grounds of the original Jondaryan Woolshed and recreates the life of shearers and their families during the 1890's. Relive the 1890's period of Australiana complete with a family day out of shearing competitions, delicious food, family activities and entertainment, steam-powered shearing stands, and a re-enactment of the Woolshed in its heyday with elevated viewing platforms right amongst the shearing action. The black tie Gala Banquet and Runway to Runway Fashion Show is held on the Friday night within the Woolshed building itself. Enjoy a delicious three course meal and a world class fashion show presented by Colleen Cuneo showcasing the best of Australian designers.
