Rocket Man is a unique and entertaining salute to Sir Elton John, one of the most iconic popular music figures. The show covers Elton's remarkable career from his first hit song through the disco era to his music for the Disney film "The Lion King". You'll also hear intriguing and often hilarious tales about Elton's life and the stories behind the songs. Rocket Man stars classically trained musician Brenton Edgecombe. Brenton learned his first Elton John song at the age of nine while studying the violin. He has played violin with several professional orchestras and once performed as Elton John backed by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. Brenton's career in both classical and pop music led to the formation of the double-act String Fever with his wife Jacqui on cello, keyboards, backing vocals and percussion! String Fever are the recipients of five Australian Entertainment Industry MO Awards.

This exhibition presents the outback in spectacular colour, featuring low level aerial images with intricate detail that capture the beauty and remoteness of this environmentally and culturally significant part of Australia'. Inspired by the beauty of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre in flood over the past few years, and the now receding waters that change the local landscape on a daily basis, acclaimed award winning Australian landscape photographer, Peter Elfes is pleased to be presenting 'The Green Desert' exhibition. From 2009 to 2013, Elfes documented this normally dry eco-system as it transformed with the arrival of water that travelled more than a thousand kilometres to reach Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre Basin. The sudden and dramatic change to this desert landscape are presented with exquisitely prepared large format prints, (framed behind museum grade anti-reflective glass). As a result the exhibition is both a beautiful visual record and also serves as an important educational tool of an event that is viewed with equal importance by indigenous and non-indigenous people of Australia. The flooding of the Australia's largest Lake still remains a fascination that is felt in our nations psyche.

Linsey makes music by live looping instruments of his own making such as the saxillo, Mr Curly, Rubber Glove bagpipes and the carrot clarinet. Using these instruments as well as voice, a bubble wrap drum, jawharps and a balloon, he cunningly creates layers of music so you can enjoy the process of composition as well as the product of performance. Watch and listen as he uses electronic wizardry neatly combined with "do it yourself" ingenuity to create the rich mellow sound of a watering can clarinet quartet, or voice-generated rhythm tracks together with a dose of seventies style funk with "Mr Curly" (a contra-bass clarinet made from plastic garden hose). He even turns a carrot into a beautiful sounding clarinet as you watch.
