Adels Grove Camping Ground is an eco-sensitive park on Lawn Hill Creek, located 10 kilometres downstream from Lawn Hill National Park. Adels Grove is set among a plantation of exotic trees initially grown by the French Botanist Albert de Lestang over 80 years ago.

The resort is an oasis retreat for the dusty, tired traveller: a perfect place to refresh, relax and recover. You can catch Barramundi just metres from your tent site or lie back and watch the cool aqua water meander through the park. Staff at Adels Grove operate tours of the surrounding Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park and the World Heritage Listed Riversleigh Fossil Fields. Bookings are essential.

The excellent short walks in the vicinity of Adels Grove, is a further 20 kilometres of walking tracks within the National Park. Bird watching in this area is fascinating with several different environments in close proximity. The numerous savannah woodlands, open savannah plains, lush riverine remnant rainforest and rocky Spinifex escarpments all support a wide variety of bird species.

Adels Grove offer a range of accommodation facilities from ensuited rooms, river view tents and room accommodation for a glamping experience, to camping ground area's plus tents to hire.

Gulf Glory Barra Bash

The Gulf Glory Barra Bash has been cancelled for 2016 due to the ongoing impacts from extended drought throughout the region and wider north Queensland and north Australian areas. It is hoped with the prospect of a return to normal wet season weather the event will be staged in September 2017. The event is run by the Gulf Barramundi Restocking Association - originally established by the commercial fishing industry - all volunteers - and always has a high profile on sustainable responsible fishing and catch and release. Funds raised from GBRA activities go towards restocking efforts and promotional activities of the GBRA - fish for a fishing future. See you in the land of the Morning Glory Cloud and big Barra.

Drovers Camp Festival

The Festival is a three Day event offering visitors the change to meet real outback men and women drovers who have been an integral part of the history of the cattle droving industry in Australia. It begins with an invitation luncheon for the drovers followed by a street parade, charity run ""Mail Race"", Auction, old time dance, Bronco branding competition, local race meeting, country music concert, poets Breakfast, church service, art and photographic competitions and a local talent quest. The written poetry competition ""The bronze spur award"" is highly sort after by poets. This event commemorates the droving tradition of Outback Queensland and is a social event for the drovers to catch up and pass tradition on to the next generation."

Camooweal Drovers Camp

This event commemorates the droving tradition that helped open up the north. Situated on the Queensland/Northern Territory border, Camooweal was the place where drovers camped by the Georgina River to wait for the call to collect stock from the beef cattle stations of North West Queensland, the Northern Territory and the Kimberley regions and to 'drive' them to the southern rail heads and markets. More than 80 drovers are expected to congregate for their annual reunion at the Drover's Camp.

A fishing, outdoor and camping enthusiasts dream the 2016 Fishing Classic boasts over 20 prize categories including the infamous Tagged Barra on the water and an enormous line up of entertainment on the land including Fireworks, DIY Dragon Boat Regatta, Beach Volleyball, yabby races, live bands, trade exhibits, camping, food, drink and bar facilities and more.
