Adels Grove Camping Ground is an eco-sensitive park on Lawn Hill Creek, located 10 kilometres downstream from Lawn Hill National Park. Adels Grove is set among a plantation of exotic trees initially grown by the French Botanist Albert de Lestang over 80 years ago.

The resort is an oasis retreat for the dusty, tired traveller: a perfect place to refresh, relax and recover. You can catch Barramundi just metres from your tent site or lie back and watch the cool aqua water meander through the park. Staff at Adels Grove operate tours of the surrounding Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park and the World Heritage Listed Riversleigh Fossil Fields. Bookings are essential.

The excellent short walks in the vicinity of Adels Grove, is a further 20 kilometres of walking tracks within the National Park. Bird watching in this area is fascinating with several different environments in close proximity. The numerous savannah woodlands, open savannah plains, lush riverine remnant rainforest and rocky Spinifex escarpments all support a wide variety of bird species.

Adels Grove offer a range of accommodation facilities from ensuited rooms, river view tents and room accommodation for a glamping experience, to camping ground area's plus tents to hire.

Gulf Glory Barra Bash

Find yourself in the Gulf in September 2016 - the Gulf Glory Barra Bash will be held in Karumba over the weekend of 23 to 25 September. After having to cancel the previous year due to impacts of the ongoing drought they are all fired up for 2016. Junior and Senior categories for Catch and Release Barramundi, Heaviest King Salmon, Blue Salmon and mystery weight plus nomination prizes. There will be lots of entertainment, demonstrations, amazing food, markets and information stalls plus major raffles and lots of giveaways. This is run by the Gulf Barramundi Restocking Association and will have a high profile on sustainable responsible fishing and catch and release. Funds raised will support the ongoing restocking efforts and promotional activities of the GBRA - fish for a fishing future. See you in the land of the Morning Glory Cloud and big Barra.

The Festival is a three Day event offering visitors the change to meet real outback men and women drovers who have been an integral part of the history of the cattle droving industry in Australia. It begins with an invitation luncheon for the drovers followed by a street parade, charity run ""Mail Race"", Auction, old time dance, Bronco branding competition, local race meeting, country music concert, poets Breakfast, church service, art and photographic competitions and a local talent quest. The written poetry competition ""The bronze spur award"" is highly sort after by poets. This event commemorates the droving tradition of Outback Queensland and is a social event for the drovers to catch up and pass tradition on to the next generation."
