Heritage Walk of Mackay

The Heritage Walk of Mackay is a fantastic way to explore the rich history of Mackay City Centre's heritage buildings. Join a guided walk with Mackay Tourism volunteers, who bring the history alive through story telling, humour and old fashioned fun. The tour runs every Wednesday from May until September, departing Paxton's Warehouse, Corner River and Carlyle Street. Arrive at 8:45am for a 9am departure. The tour runs for approximately 1.5 hours, finishing with a complimentary morning tea. Bookings are advised but not essential.

The Mackay Festival of Arts is a 10 day program covering a wide variety of visual arts, music, theatre, family events, food and wine and much more. This year is the 28th year of the Festival, and the program will be bigger and better than ever. This is not a rodeo - this is the mother of all extreme sports wrapped up in a pyrotechnic, pulsating rock concert atmosphere, with camera angles and big screen replays that will give you the ultimate bull riding experience.
