In a bid to provide the state's Male Masters and Female competitors with additional competitive opportunities in 2015, Surfing Queensland is once again bolstering the Queensland Masters Surfing Championship and Girls Surf Slam Queensland Championship to a combined two event series. The two-event series will crown Queensland Masters State Champions across the over 35, over 40, over 45, over 50, over 55 and over 60 Men's divisions as well as female competitors across the Under 16 Girls, Under 18 Girls, Under 21 Girls, Open Women's and over 35 divisions. The series will also be the exclusive qualification pathway for competitors aiming for selection into the Queensland Surfing Team set to compete at the Australian Open Surfmasters Titles. Queensland's Open Women's champion will still receive a coveted spot in the trials of the 2016 ASP World Tour Roxy Pro event at Snapper Rocks.

Noosa Jazz Festival

Noosa Jazz Festival is more than just jazz and features not just an array of musical genres from Jazz, Blues and folk, but a diverse program including master classes, talent search, Legends Lunch Series, Jazz river cruises and the sell-out "Tastings on Hastings" event. An important aspect to the social fabric of the Noosa Jazz Festival is our Youth in Jazz program which provides schools from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Cooloola Coast and local region the opportunity to perform on the main stage to an audience.

Noosa International Sevens Festival

The Noosa International 7's Festival is a two day, outdoor sporting festival involving a Queensland Rugby Union sanctioned and Federation of Oceania Rugby Union (FORU) and Australian Rugby Union supported, elite seven-a-side rugby union tournament involving up to forty (40) teams comprising four divisions (Stan Bissett Cup [men]; Vince Beakey Cup [women]; and schools competition [boys and girls]) for both men and women, with supporting entertainment, and food and beverage facilities hosted at the Noosa District Rugby Union Club Inc's home ground at Bicentennial Drive, Sunshine Beach on the second weekend in October. Arguably one of the premier Sevens-rugby tournaments in the Southern Hemisphere, the Noosa International Sevens Festival is perfectly positioned to become an important part of an Australian Sevens rugby circuit, and a must-see Sunny-Coast outdoor rugby-entertainment event.
