Koola Beach Apartments offer affordable luxury at Bargara Beach. The complex comprises 18 modern, artistically decorated, self-contained and air-conditioned holiday apartments offering one or two bedroom accommodation for one to four guests. Or there are 3 Bargara Dream three bedroom/two bathroom Townhouses for up to six guests, all with full kitchen facilities and external balconies to catch the cooling ocean breezes.

Just a short 400 metre stroll through the surrounding parkland to the patrolled surf beach at Neilson's Park, with its beachside picnic areas and children's playground. Walk 700 metres along the delightful oceanfront walkway to the relaxed Bargara Village restaurants, cafes, hotel and shops. Visit the Mon Repos Turtle Rookery (November to March) or Bundaberg Rum Distillery, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, Hinkler Hall of Aviation or take a day trip to Lady Musgrave Island or Lady Elliott Island. Golf, bowls, fishing and snorkelling are all within easy reach.

Whether it's the smell of the salt air, the sounds of the early morning birds in the park, the sun setting over The Hummock or the moon over the sea, the simple things in life are often the best!

Accessibility:

Wheelchair access is available throughout the complex via a lift to all floors, including the basement car park. The bedrooms and bathroom can be accessed by wheelchair - the shower cubicles have a small five centimetre hob to gain access. Access to and from the street level is available from the basement car park via the entry ramp.

Children:

Children are welcome and are well catered for. Nielson Park beach is just a 400 metre stroll and is ideal for children - the beachside parklands include picnic areas, children's playgrounds, oceanfront walkways and bicycle paths.

Mon Repos Conservation Park

Bundaberg, Bundaberg Area
The largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland occurs at Mon Repos, and from November to March, visitors can watch nesting and hatching turtles on the beach at night. This park is world famous for its marine turtle wildlife spectacle where loggerhead, flatback and green turtles come ashore to nest on an accessible mainland beach. The park is also home to Woongarra rainforest remnants, mangroves, a tidal lagoon and historic sites. In winter and spring, take quiet beach walks, watch birds or explore rock pools. From November to March, take a night tour for a close encounter with turtles on the beach. You may see turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs; or witness hatchlings emerging from their nests and heading for the sea. Turtle watching is very popular, so bookings are essential and fees apply. Visit the information centre to learn about Mon Repos, turtles and the nearby Great Sandy Marine Park.
Located at 167a Bourbong St, Bundaberg, Sabrosa Steakhouse offers casual, family friendly dining. The well-priced menu spans from seafood to pasta and delicious desserts, but steak is the main focus. Choose your favourite cut, or take the Sabrosa challenge and try to finish 1kg of rump steak, 500g of veggies and 500g of potato wedges in under 30mins and receive your meal half price.

Located on the waterfront at the gorgeous Burnett Heads, this beautiful park offers plenty of space to run and play. For the kids there is a large climbing frame and a smaller playground. For the adults, sit back and enjoy the view of the pristine blue water whilst watching the kids play in the great outdoors. There is also a skate park in the vicinity. This is also the start of the Turtle Trail walk which will take you all the way to Bargara - perfect for a walk or bike ride.
