Cooly Rocks On

For 11 action-packed days, their colourful, vibrant, beachside towns of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads will be fuelled with party atmosphere. More than 50 rock'n'roll and rockabilly bands from across Australia will perform alongside special guest international artists from around the world. Over 1,300 cars will line their streets for one of the biggest car displays ever staged in Australia. Bring the family and enjoy loads of free entertainment and retro markets, and watch the Sharp Motor Group Street Parade, or join a Rock 'n' roll, Rockabilly or Swing workshop. See as many of their amazing shows as possible, dance every night away, and have as much fun as you can possibly squeeze into your stay.

Soak up the retro vibe as we welcome the Cooly Rocks On Festival. Enjoy the sounds of live music, eat awesome food and try on your new Vintage outfits and accessories at over 60 market stalls. Park at the airport (AUD10.00 for 2 hours) or leave your car and pick up the transfer from Aussie Parking at Ourimbah Rd, Tweed Heads (AUD5.00 - round trip). Mini makeovers and photoshoots taking place out the front of the iconic La Costa Motel.

Staged on one of their most spectacular beaches at North Kirra (Gold Coast), Beach Bash is an event for the whole family. The course is approximately 4 kilometres long with up to 26 exciting obstacles designed to challenge you. The kid's event is for 5 - 10 year olds and the course ranges from 1 - 2 kilometres. This event has surprises for everyone of all fitness levels. Plus heaps of entertainment and activities around the finish-line precinct.

Experience monumental and memorable sculpture at the thirteenth Swell Sculpture Festival. Set amongst the iconic landscape at Currumbin Beach, explore over 60 large and small scale works built by distinguished local, national and international artists. For 10 days, wander and weave amongst distinctive, thought provoking, intriguing and whimsical sculpted works. This magnificent outdoor gallery presents the occasion to enjoy guided twilight walks and artist talks. Visitors can take pleasure in intimate sculpture experiences at the Swell Smalls Gallery or participate in artist master classes and children's workshops. The Swell experience extends with festivities such as performance art, music, yoga amongst the sculpture and culinary delights. This exhibition is free to the public and open all hours with a selection of sculptures revealing a new verve as they light up under the southern sky. Swell Sculpture Festival inspires, amuses and uplifts and captures the hearts and minds of all who visit.
