ACO Virtual Exhibition

Play with the band! This exhibition uses state-of-the-art technology to create an interactive audio-visual experience. Audiences essentially step "inside" a concert and are immersed in a cinematic experience, surrounded by the musicians and manipulating what they hear and see, just like a video game. ACO virtual was produced by the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Mod Productions.

The Big Show is a large gun and militaria fair with antique and modern firearms, mixed collectibles of all types of collectible items . there is a smaller selection of quality antique furniture. It is practically a huge market for collectors, the majority of items are militaria and guns with a nice selection of general antiques and all sorts of collectables including a large selection of antique and new Jewellery and now there will be a good selection of Gem stones and Opals. The fair has dealers from all over Australia and 1 international dealer selling all types of collectibles, garage and kitchen gear, antique arms, modern firearms and shooting accessories, small amount of antique furniture, coins, bank notes, medals, badges, gold and silver jewellery, general collectables, uniforms, antique armour, swords and daggers, bayonets, books, hunting, shooting, and outdoors equipment plus much more including ammunition and ordnance.

Held in Australiana Park the market is easily accessable to the traveller as it is located on the highway and you can find parking in the car park and adjacent streets. This market is a great place to stop if you are taking in a scenic drive or visiting Warwick for the weekend. Held the second Sunday of every month.

A great day of country racing in Warwick at the Killarney Hotel Killarney Cup. Country people are famed for their hospitality; the country race track is, historically, the centre of rural social life. Warwick's race club is one of the oldest in Queensland. Its Cup pre-dates the Melbourne Cup! Allman Park Racecourse is situated on the Condamine River flats, with a very pleasant outlook across to the town of Warwick. It has all the prerequisite racing facilities including a grass track, betting and TAB facilities, SKY Channel, at least a dozen bookmakers each race meeting, canteen, public bar, members' bar and pavilion all set among green lawns with a nicely-appointed rose garden. Warwick hosts a number of race meetings each year including the Warwick Picnic Races and the Warwick Cup. Each day is different, according to the season and the event.

Christmas In July dinners at the Abbey Country House Manor, have become a popular annual event in Warwick. They are held every Saturday night and include a three course set dinner, four hour beverage package, Christmas trivia, Santa on arrival and it nearly always snows at the famous Christmas in July Dinners. Accommodation is limited so book early. Warwick Jumpers in Jazz festival is the last two weekends and there is a 2 night minimum stay these nights.

Country House Manor - Abbey of the Roses is a heritage listed 123 year old Victorian sandstone building in South East Queensland. The Abbey of the Roses will open their doors to the general public who have pre-booked for a Morning Tea and Tour on selected Sundays. Enjoy a self serve morning tea of scones, jam and cream followed by a ground floor guided tour of this magnificent old former Sisters of Mercy convent, with the opportunity to purchase antiques. Abbey of the Roses is a boutique bed and breakfast and award winning wedding function centre located. For an afternoon with a difference Sunday Morning High Tea and Sunday High Tea Lunch also available to book - no door sales for any events. Morning tea and tours can also be pre-booked on most days for groups of 10 or more, as well as group lunches of 20 or more.

Historic Leyburn Sprints

The Historic Leyburn Sprints is on again for the twentieth year! Over 200 cars will race around the idyllic country town of Leyburn, vying for trophies over 20 classes, as well as outright placings. Get amongst the drivers and their cars, ranging from the 1920's through to modern classics. In addition, they are hosting a Legends Dinner (with a host of celebrity speakers) and also providing a tribute to the late Sir Jack Brabham. The Historic Leyburn Sprints commemorates the running of the Australian Grand Prix, held at Leyburn on a disused wartime airstrip in 1949. Come for the racing, stay for the sightseeing amongst this historic town and surroundings. Camping is available in the recreational reserve, a short walk from the track. Celebrity drivers, markets, Show n Shine, and the Vintage Caravan Comp all add to the entertainment provided by this unique event in a fantastic setting.
