Ballancar is a 2,300 hectare sheep and cattle property located near Inglewood in Southern Queensland. Significant evidence of past Aboriginal occupation can still be found on Ballancar in relatively undisturbed conditions. Ballancar Cultural Heritage offers guided bushwalks to introduce visitors to this archaeology and the cultural environment. The tours provide an introduction to stone tools and other aspects of Aboriginal life and landscape management. In addition to its aboriginal archaeology, Ballancar has an abundance of native birds and animals, and all the peace and quiet a visitor could wish for.

Most notable is the sandstone cottage which was built circa 1870, and is listed by the National Trust. Sister Kenny Memorial, Nobby

Visit the memorial of Sister Elizabeth Kenny (born 20 September 1880, died 30 November 1952), who had a significant world-wide impact on the treatment of polio (Infantile Paralysis), one of the world`s most devastating diseases. Sister Kenny lived in Nobby and received world recognition for her revolutionary treatment of polio victims in the early to mid twentieth century. She challenged the then current medical practice of immobilising muscles affected by polio and proved that exercising them aided in patient recovery. This memorial chronicles her life and gives an account of the battles she had with the medical establishment of the day. She is buried in the peaceful Nobby cemetery which overlooks the wide, rolling hills, and her life is also commemorated by a local memorial park.

Clifton Historical Museum

Housed in the old butter factory, you can take a step back in time and visit a 1930s dining room, a pioneer bedroom, an early hospital ward, kitchen and children's room. Morgan Park, Warwick

Morgan Park is a major sport and recreation facility and houses a range of sport clubs and organisations, as well as a reserve which is home to a wide range of bird species. Morgan Park is known as the home of horse power and hosts equine events nearly every weekend including horse trials (equestrian), polocrosse, and equine driving. The Park also home to Morgan Park Raceway which stages dirt bike, drag racing and circuit racing events. The Morgan Park Resource Reserve is a birdwatchers paradise where you'll see more than 20 species of birds including quails, ducks, raptors, needletails, kingfishers, fairy-wrens, honeyeaters and parrots. An events calendar and a list of spotted bird species is available from Warwick Visitor Information Centre, 49 Albion Street, Warwick.

Harrow Gardens

Harrow Homestead is a private home and a grand residence, with the warmth and charm of yesteryear. Robert Ramsay, the English owner, had the impressive home constructed in the 1870s mainly of hoop pine and red cedar with large rooms and an arched hallway of polished pine and cedar panelling. The home covers one hundred squares with wide verandas on three sides. Harrow is still very much a working property. Harrow Gardens are over 10 acres of rambling picturesque countryside featuring a 50 metre rose arbour, a lake with water lilies, extensive garden beds and a fish pond. The stunning garden and gorgeous homestead are available for viewing during September and October however coaches are available via appointment at any time.

Darling Downs Zoo

The Darling Downs Zoo is situated in a beautiful rural setting on the eastern Downs - midway between Toowoomba and Warwick - just over two hour's drive from the Brisbane Central Business District. This new zoo is being developed in a garden format centred on the geographical areas of Australia, South-east Asia, Africa and South America. Already the zoo features the only pride of African Lions in Queensland, baboons, monkeys, marmosets, serval, rare Sumatran Tiger, tropical birds, kangaroos and white wallabies, camel, deer, crocodiles and alligator, boa constrictors, the world's most venomous snakes, pythons and much, much more. The zoo is also home to the only White Lions in Queensland and the largest herd of Zebras and Giant Tortoises in this State! The zoo is open to the public from 9.00 a.m. six days a week. It is closed on Tuesdays - except for the Queensland state school holidays when it is open every day. It is closed on Christmas Day. Picnic facilities are available, there is a kiosk and gift shop with EFTPOS and free parking for all vehicles including coaches and caravans. The entire zoo is wheelchair friendly.
