Adels Grove Camping Ground is an eco-sensitive park on Lawn Hill Creek, located 10 kilometres downstream from Lawn Hill National Park. Adels Grove is set among a plantation of exotic trees initially grown by the French Botanist Albert de Lestang over 80 years ago.

The resort is an oasis retreat for the dusty, tired traveller: a perfect place to refresh, relax and recover. You can catch Barramundi just metres from your tent site or lie back and watch the cool aqua water meander through the park. Staff at Adels Grove operate tours of the surrounding Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park and the World Heritage Listed Riversleigh Fossil Fields. Bookings are essential.

In addition to the excellent short walks in the vicinity of Adels Grove, is a further 20 kilometres of walking tracks within the National Park. Bird watching in this area is fascinating with several different environments in close proximity. The numerous savannah woodlands, open savannah plains, lush riverine remnant rainforest and rocky Spinifex escarpments all support a wide variety of bird species.

Adels Grove offer a range of accommodation facilities from river view tents and room accommodation for a glamping experience, to camping ground area's plus tents to hire.

The Rockhana Gem and Mineral Festival began in 2005 and is held in the first weekend in July each year. It is unique and the only event of its kind held in the North West, showcasing local fossicking sites and gemstones to be found in the Cloncurry Shire. In 2015, special guest entertainers the Memphis Moovers will be performing for the three day festival. Over the weekend, there will be jewellery making workshops on silver smithing and wire wrapping that anyone can get involved. The Cloncurry Shire is rich in gold, copper, garnets, amethyst, crystals, Maltese crosses as well as collection of other minor minerals that can be sourced in the region. The event is held during the cooler months and many tourists passing by find themselves enjoying a chat with the locals and getting a snap shot on 'life in the bush'.

The theme this year is 'ALL @ SEA - 'C' - there will be prizes for best dressed, lucky door prize and so much more. The well known 'Sea Horse Race', special guests set with the waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria as the background. Corporate tents are available and pre-event tickets are on sale now at Sunset Tavern. This event was the highest fundraiser in Australia in 2014. Locals, visitors, businesses - everyone joins in to make this a memorable and important regional event and fundraiser.

The Cloncurry Stockman's Challenge and Campdraft is an annual campdrafting and challenge event celebrating the talent and passion of horsemen and is regarded as one of the greatest horse events in Australia. The Challenge is an elite and prestigious event, drawing competitors from all states in to a fierce and thrilling competition. The Challenge originated in Cloncurry in 1983 and involves 'wet' and 'dry' work that includes competitors and horses completing patterns including manoeuvres such as flying changes, roll backs, spins and stops. The competitor and horse are also required to complete cattle work to demonstrate a variety of skills. There are nine campdraft and six challenge events for all ages, evening entertainment including a rodeo and trade stalls.

Curry Merry Muster Festival

Since 1954 the 'Merry Muster' has provided Cloncurry and the surrounding region with all the thrills and spills of rodeo, brimming with community spirit. Today the event has grown to a festival boasting a pro-rodeo renowned as Australia's highest single payout professional rodeo. The Festival will incorporate the popular Street Parade; annually attracting in excess of 40 themed community floats. A launch to the weekend festivities to follow the Street Parade incorporate community stalls, food, bar and live entertainment. Friday will showcase the famous Bush Poets Breakfast; attracting local and visiting poets and incorporating a camp oven breakfast, the Teddy Bears Picnic and an all new junior rodeo. Friday evening and Saturday will boast the 'Merry Muster' pro-rodeo which see thousands of spectators flock to see the champions compete for top prize money and the chance to win a one of a kind hand crafted buckle.

Throw in Live Entertainment, "The Isa Rodeo Street Party", Mardi Gras Parade, Queen Quest, Mailman Express Horse Race, Best Dressed Business competition, Bush Poets Breakfast, Show Rides and Fred Brophies Boxing Tent into the mix and you've got one big party. Drovers Camp Festival

The Festival is a three Day event offering visitors the change to meet real outback men and women drovers who have been an integral part of the history of the cattle droving industry in Australia. It begins with an invitation luncheon for the drovers followed by a street parade, charity run ""Mail Race"", Auction, old time dance, Bronco branding competition, local race meeting, country music concert, poets Breakfast, church service, art and photographic competitions and a local talent quest. The written poetry competition ""The bronze spur award"" is highly sort after by poets. This event commemorates the droving tradition of Outback Queensland and is a social event for the drovers to catch up and pass tradition on to the next generation."
