Thargomindah Visitor Information Centre

Thargomindah, Bulloo Area
The Thargomindah Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is located in the Bulloo Shire in far south west Queensland. To get there, you just follow the Adventure Way until you reach the town of Thargomindah. The VIC is situated at Echidna Place on Dowling Street, which is the main road into town. It is a great place for visitors to relax and unwind after a long journey, as it shares a precinct with a Coffee Shop and a Library and has a lovely big deck where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a chat with the locals. The VIC provides information on road conditions, tourism attractions, tourism products, and events within the Bulloo Shire, and the greater Outback region, and also stocks a wide variety of maps, brochures and tourism magazines. VIC staff are happy to provide visitors with advice on roads; where they can stay and eat; and what there is to see in town and in the wider region. It's a great place to visit, and has been likened by visitors to an "Oasis in the Desert". Please remember to stop and drop in when you are driving through on your Outback Odyssey.
The Herberton Mining and Visitor Information Centre is located on Jacks Road in Herberton. The Cairns and Tropical North Visitor Information Centre is located on 51 The Esplanade in Cairns. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Cairns and Tropical North Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. The Pioneer Valley Visitor Information Centre is located in Melba House, Edward Lloyd Park, Anzac Avenue, Marian. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable local volunteers, the Melba House Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. The Beaudesert Community Arts and Information Centre is located on the corner of Enterprise Drive and Mt Lindesay Highway in Beaudesert. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Beaudesert Community Arts and Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Discuss your travel plans with the friendly staff . Also enjoy their famous Devonshire Tea in the Tea Garden or browse through the Lyrebird Gallery with work from local artists and craftspeople - paintings, pottery, sculpture, woodwork, textile arts and photography. We also stock home-made and locally-produced foods. Beaudesert Marketfest takes place on the first Saturday of each month, with an extra Christmas market in December. The market is held in Westerman Park, Mt Lindesay Highway, beside the Arts and Information Centre. There are around 150 stalls, featuring fresh fruit and veges, plants, clothing, old tools and small machinery, bric-a brac, craft, birds, and a variety of other stalls. The market runs from 7am until 12 midday.

Esk Visitor Information Centre

Esk, Somerset Area
Nestled along the Brisbane Valley Highway, the Esk Visitor Information Centre provides a friendly greeting to those seeking real country, real adventure, really close to Brisbane. The quaint cottage-style building reflects the country hospitality that visitors experience from the friendly group of volunteer tourism ambassadors who revel in sharing their local knowledge and colourful tales. The Esk Visitor Information Centre is home to Glenn Rock Gallery where an array of locally created arts and crafts is on display. Somerset artists change the exhibition monthly so there is always something new to see. While at the centre you can purchase fishing and boating permits and collect a range of maps, brochures and flyers to help prepare you for your journey through Somerset.

Hervey Bay Visitor Information Centre

Hervey Bay, Fraser Coast Area
The Hervey Bay Visitor Information Centre is located on the corner of Hervey Road and Urraween Road in Hervey Bay. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Hervey Bay Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. The Sarina Tourist Art and Craft Visitor Information Centre is located on Railway Square in Sarina. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Sarina Tourist Art and Craft Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Discuss with the friendly staff your travel plans. This amazing VIC is an attraction in itself. All three buildings of the complex are historically aged and consist of the Original Sarina Court House, Sarina Watch House and Mt Pillion School House. All three have been lovingly restored by Volunteers and Community support. All Craft sold in the Centre is locally produced by loving hands and each item is very unique. Their volunteers will happily make you a 'free' cup of tea and biscuit and are always 'up for a chat'.
The Burdekin Visitor Information Centre is located in Plantation Park on the Bruce Highway in Ayr. With lots of parking space for caravans and motor homes, Plantation Park makes an excellent spot to break your trip and consider your options. This accredited Visitor Information Centre offers up to date travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Burdekin Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Friendly volunteers are ready to welcome visitors to the district.

Biloela Visitor Information Centre

Biloela, Banana Area
The Biloela Visitor Information Centre is located on Callide Street in Biloela. This accredited visitor information centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps and brochures. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Biloela Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat. Discuss with the friendly staff your travel plans. The range of souvenirs are moderately priced so you can take home reminders for your grandchildren.
