This Bilbies, Stars and Secrets Tour allows you to explore the outback town of Charleville with the local Charleville Story Tellers. It's a bit like finding out the family secrets with the added advantage of meeting the people of the outback. For three days and two nights you will be told the fascinating stories of early pioneer days, World War two top secrets, meet an endangered Australian, 'travel' thousands of light years into space, attended school in a class room that is over one million hectares in size, discovered what makes the trees of outback Queensland such great survivors in this hot climate. Come out and join the local story tellers and local taxi girls, discover their history and heritage, discover how the drovers prepared their camp oven dinners and get your self 'wrapped up' in outback folklore. They love living there and they are certain you will love visiting their town. Contact the Charleville Visitor Information Centre for further information.
